Three posts in one day, aren't you guys lucky!
I just thought I would say I enjoyed talking to everyone on Saturday night. It made me pretty homesick though. I went back inside to find María and Jaime sitting on the couch watching tv and this is the conversation that passed between us (I translated it for those of you who can't speak Spanish). Also, you may be unaccustomed to the way I relate conversations in writing, so here is an explaination: *this* means an action has taken place. No one speaks *these* words.
María: Everything is okay?
Me: Yep. *smile* All my family is at my grandma's house for Easter, so I called and they put me on...I don't know how you say it in Spanish...speakerphone.
María: *explains the concept of speakerphone to Jaime in Spanish.*
María and Jaime: *discuss what it would be called. Settle on a word*
Me: *nod in agreement and make a mental note (which I forgot already)*
*awkward silence passes as I think about the phone conversation and María offers me some chocolate that the Germans gave the kids. I am looking out the window but I can feel them watching me and I don't know what to do...I look at María and she smiles*
María: So by all your family you mean your parents, your brother, your grandma and...?
Me: The brothers of my mom and thier families.
María: Thier spouses and kids?
Me: *debates explaining the whole situation, decides against it* Yep. *I smile again, and look out the window. They watch me and I feel awkward.*
Jaime: You´re the only one missing...
Me: *I look at him, them away again, smile awkwardly and shrug* yeah...
Jaime: Well, your with a different family here.
So there you go. When he said that, it made me feel better, but at the same time worse, because it isn't really the same...I miss you guys...

Hi Sam.......we all missed you very much, too, for Easter!! We can't wait to see you in May. Collin and I are heading to the Wild game tomorrow night. We're pretty excited. Maybe when you're back we can take the boys to a Twins game if time allows for you. I know you'll be in WInona for the summer. It would be fun to spend time with you and hear more of your stories. It will be different not seeing Hunter in CF though. Collin says that Joe Mauer is dating a girl from Hutch. This girl's brother rides the bus with the boys and tells them all about it. They think it's pretty cool. Are you back to school again this week or do have another week for break? The boys went back today finally after 10 days off. They were ready though. I was!!!! : ) Keep hanging in there.....we all miss you! Love, Jenny, Tim and kids
