Don't freak out

Spring Break (officially Holy Week) starts today, so I don't know when the next time I will be at a computer will be. I would have to guess not until the Monday or Tuesday after Easter, so don't everyone freak out because you haven't heard from me. I'm probably fine :)

I'm spending the weekend with a friend in Morocco (Africa). We are taking the ferry there tomorrow morning and getting back to Spain on Monday afternoon. I'm pretty excited about it. I will let you all know if it is worth it.

After that I plan on enjoying the culture of Spain during one of the most interesting times of the year. During Semana Santa they have huge prosessions of heavy statues depicting various stages of the Stations of the Cross. They also wear vestiments that vaguely
resemble the outfits of a familiar and deadly cult in the United States, but rest assured I will not be witnessing anything violent. It is quite a spectical, but a native Spaniard corrected me. They are not "festivals" or "celebrations" but rather quite somber events.

I will update again when I get a chance, but in the mean time, I hope eveyone has a Happy Easter. Eat deviled eggs for me!

No deviled eggs for us either. As a matter of fact, I don't even know where I am going for Easter... weird...

You better be fine. Miss you much. Twins won today. Score.

Hi Sam,
I'm glad to hear you are going to be watching all the processions! I heard about them on a travel channel somewhere and I was like, "Man, I wish I had studied in a country that wasn't so stubborn about reliving past traditions like England is.." Have fun in Morrocco. You can go to bed at night telling yourself, "I am special, because Orlando Bloom filmed Kingdom of Heaven here and I probably walked where he did today."
